This could be a day when your emotions dominate your intellect. You know how that goes, you pick out something you feel like buying based on feelings. The color, not the car kind of thing. That’s because Mercury, the planet of our intellectual functioning is just entering Aries…

Well folks, we here in the West, mark the New Year as January first. There’s no real astrological reason for that. Its just another cold winter day. But in India, where astrology is woven into the web of everyday life, the New Year begins on the first day of Spring. That makes sense. Right? The equinox arrives and daylight and darkness are equal; hence forth daylight grows to its apogee on the Summer Solstice on June 21st.

The Cosmic Curator 3/18/23: Behold the Dreamer Cometh

This is your Cosmic Curator, Tom Yaroschuk, with a look at the stars for today, Saturday March 18th and the week ahead.

The day begins with Pisces rising at this hour. Pisces, the mutable water sign represented by two fish swimming is opposite directions. The symbolism is all about this world of materialism and that world of spirit. Pisces is where love for all is born, where imagination is powerful, the oneness and connection of life is most evident. That famous Pisces Albert Einstein believed imagination was more important than knowledge. He also said time was an illusion…

The Cosmic Curator 3/11/23: A Look at the Stars for Today & the Days Ahead

This is your Cosmic Curator with a look at the stars for today Saturday March 11th and the days ahead.

It’s a rare event in the sky right now – but three planets are changing signs in the next few days. When a planet changes signs, its like moving. All your stuff is boxed up and you have yet to unpack. A planet is unstable, meaning that it cannot express its energies. Kind of like trying to drive up Caterpiller Hill without snow tires after a blizzard. Traction comes later when the planet moves into a sign…

The Cosmic Curator 3/4/23: A Look at the Stars for the Week Ahead

Welcome to March. The month where winter is holding back and spring is pulling forward.
The month began with Venus and Jupiter in Pisces… And Mercury and Saturn in Aquarius. When two or more planets are in the same sign, its considered difficult and is called a planetary war. The “War” is for dominance. Planets like to express the energy of a sign but when another planet is close by, it weakens the expression. Think of it as though you were quietly sitting at home when suddenly a crowd appeared…

The Cosmic Curator 2/18/23: A Look at the Stars for the Week Ahead

This is your cosmic curator, Tom Yaroschuk, with a look at the stars for today Saturday February 18 th and the week ahead.
The day begins with the moon, the significator of our emotions in the ever practical sign of Capricorn, the cardinal earth sign rules by Saturn. Capricorn is not one to indulge in sentiment, maudlin emotions, or wearing one’s heart on their sleeve. They are too practical. The downside is, emotions are best expressed and regulated. Capricorn moon tend to bottle them up…

The Cosmic Curator 2/11/23: A Look at the Stars for the Week Ahead

This is your Cosmic Curator, Tom Yaroschuk, with a look at the stars for today Saturday February 11. And the week ahead.

This will be a very interesting morning because of the many powerful planetary energies at play.

To begin with, the moon, the vessel of emotions is in Libra.. peace loving, artistic, and uber social Libra, a cardinal air sign. Air is about thinking… The sweetness of the sign is upended, by a conjunction with the south node of the moon – Ketu. Past karma is associated with Ketu so the mind may drift into the steamy gullies of the past….
