Relationship Rewind

Relationship Rewind is a show where we talk about relationships in movies, tv shows, or other media where there are behaviors between characters that are not entirely healthy but are being made to look normal or even romantic. The show is based off the idea that we aren’t born automatically knowing how to be in relationships and that we learn through the examples shown to us, like those we see in media. So, when we see the unhealthy ways people are treating each other it might lead people into thinking those actions are normal or even passionate. Every month we give space to a young person in Maine (ages 13-28) to join in conversation about what they’re noticing, their experiences, and how it impacts them. We talk about how important it is to be able to recognize when characters are not treating each other the way they should be and how to tell the difference between those actions and something we would want in our own relationships.
