Yankee Magazine Editor Mel Allen on “The Power of Community”

Longtime Yankee magazine editor Mel Allen spoke at the Alamo Theatre in Bucksport, Maine on June 21st in conjunction with that town’s “Wednesday on Main” summer series. His topic was “The Power of Community” and he commented on how that is at play in Bucksport and other towns in the region.

A) Emery Deabay : has worked at the Bucksport Mill for over 30 years, is president of the United Steelworkers of Maine, union local 1188, and is running for state legislature in as a Democrat District 40 (Bucksport and Orrington)
B) Linda Murch has worked at the Bucksport Mill for over 15 years. She is currently on leave, working at the Alliance for American Manufacturing
