-Department of Environmental Protect is issuing a draft Public Benefit Determination for the expansion of the Juniper Ridge Landfill.  Public comment period ends tomorrow (Friday) at 5pm.
-Rebecca Goldfine, the creator of the Maine by Foot online trail guide, will be talking about her work tonight at an event sponsored by the Great Pond Mountain Conservation Trust,  at Half-Mile Field in The Wildlands. 

-The Walden Woods Project and RESTORE: The Maine Woods presentation by wilderness activist and author Jamie Sayen via zoom tonight from 7-8.

About the host:
Amy Browne started out at WERU as a volunteer news & public affairs producer in 2000, co-hosting/co-producing RadioActive with Meredith DeFrancesco. She joined the team of Voices producers a few years later, and has been WERU’s News & Public Affairs Manager since January, 2006.
